I spent my afternoon making this tutu. I can't decide if I will try to sell it or if it will be for Ellie's first birthday. I've been thinking of selling them to earn up for my camera, but so many people sell them that I have a hard time thinking people will buy mine over anyone elses.

I'm trying to work on using the sun in my pictures. It can add so much drama to a picture, but I haven't figured out quite how it works. I'll keep experimenting.

Hello gorgeous eye lashes! Every once in a while I baby sit this little piece of heaven. She cuddles with me for 20 minutes after her nap. I love it.

I had a heck of a day on Monday. I couldn't tell ya what it was, but I sure was grouchy. It was about 10:30pm when I realized I hadn't taken a picture. I had just gotten in bed and turned the light off. So I flipped it back on, grabbed my camera off my night stand, and stomped into my living room to take a picture of the mess I left behind for the next day. Aren't you glad you check my 365 blog? So you can see amazing shots of my messy living room?

I love love LOVE this picture! Jace had some Breyers Rocky Road ice cream (our absolute fave) and Ellie wanted a bite... or five! The girl loves sweets.

This picture means nothing to you, but it means a lot to me! This is exactly why I love taking pictures. Because every once in a while I will get one that really means something to me. Jace loves his sister. They are best buds. The night that I took this, I was doing Lacy Jo's hair for her first prom. Jace comes in acting like a big dork and starts dancing all crazy (hence the blur) to make her laugh. He lives for making her laugh!

I am in shock that May is already here. Summer has come too fast; and more than that, Ellie turns one this month!! This day was great. Perfect weather to take the kids I baby-sit outside to sit on the grass at the college.

I skipped posting 77/365, but will come back and post it later. I am kind of in love with this picture. This is one that I took tonight while taking Karen and Frank's family pictures. It's not perfect, which really bothers me. I wish it was. Kaedyn is out of focus and Frank's face has a shadow across it. Did you notice? But besides those two things I just love it.

Sometimes in the afternoon Ellie and I like to go for drives. First we go to Sonic...during happy hour of course...to get a lemon-berry slush (for me) and some fries (for her). Then we go wherever our little hearts desire. These drives are mostly to scout for great locations for picture taking. This is one of those great spots we found.

Road trip! She was a little angel... MOST of the way. We went to visit my parents and sister for the day. She was wiped out after a day of swimming, shopping, and playing with cousins.

Boring picture. I didn't realize that I didn't take any others that day. This was the day of the wedding I helped with, so I did actually take a couple of cool pictures of the bride and dress, but I don't have them to post.

I turned around to see that she had pulled out the box of ramen, moved it over to the other cupboard, and climbed on top of it to reach the canned food. My baby isn't big enough to do this kind of stuff!

Jace just plopped her right down in the dirt... and I was surprisingly ok with it. This picture says a lot about a farmer's life. Baby in the dirt. Farmer letting the dog drink out of his water bottle. Tractor in the background.

just to point something out...

Can you see how big of a difference your equiptment makes in your pictures? The last two pictures were taken with a digital SLR, and all of them before that were taken with my Sony Cybershot. It's like night and day.

I've slacked off so much at posting each day. Sorry to those that check for new postings regularly. I will try to do a little better in that area. I'm super excited to post Monday and Tuesday's pictures! I've been helping a photographer friend with some family shoots this week, meaning... she's letting me follow her around so I can get more experience. She's been awesome though with letting me explore some posing ideas I have and lets me grab her camera from her any time I see a picture I want to snap. Let's just say I've fallen madly in love with her equiptment and I am dying to get a new camera and possibly start {extremely slowly} taking a few clients here and there to sharpen up my skills. I get excited just thinking about it!! Check back soon and as soon as I get the pictures back I'll post them.

Time to start planting! Today was the first full day of planting, so Ellie and I had to go out and take a few pictures.

There is a story behind this picture. In college I had a roommate, Mary Anne, who taught me how to put on mascara. When one tube gets low, use your wand to mark the bottom. The tube that is marked is the empty tube. When you apply your mascara, use the empty tube to do a coat or two. Then use your full tube to thicken up the coat. It helps separate your lashes. Try it!

Today was the annual Easter Picnic that Jace's dad's side of the family does every year. We went and had fun, but it got rained out near the end. I took this picture from the back seat of my car, where I was feeding Ellie.

This is Oakley's cousin, Vick. A pit bull named Vick, get it? I'm glad that he's still a baby because I'm not scared of him yet. I probably will be when he gets big though. Ellie loves the dogs and always wants to go visit them.

Jace has been getting our grass ready for summer. Ellie loves it. This is one of the first times we let her sit down outside on the grass because it was always dead and scratchy before.

My mother in law, sister in law and I got together while the boys were at the priesthood session and bottled butter. Did you know that you could bottle butter? You can! And supposedly it stays good {on a shelf even} for 10 years. Pretty cool, huh?

As cheesy as this sounds, these two have a very special bond. Tonight as Ellie was sleeping, Jace decided he wanted to hold her. He got her out of bed and rocked her. I love those moments!

My first bundt! Thanks to my good friend Mary for providing an amazing chocolate bundt recipe, the birthday cake that I made Jace was a hit. His birthday is actually tomorrow, April 3rd, but we celebrated by ourselves because tomorrow we'll celebrate with his family. I wish I would have made the cake during the day so there would've been better light.

I'm starting a new book called 'Traitor' by Sandra Grey. The last books I read were the Twilight series and it's been almost a year since I finished those. I'm not used to reading again. I fall asleep every time I lay down to read. And let's be honest, who likes to read sitting up?

Yes, there is a thumb in the way, but I still like it. She is always grabbing at my camera. This was taken on the plane ride home. She did SUCH a good job on the plane there and back. I couldn't believe it. We stuffed her with oreos to keep her quiet... as you can see by the messy face.

Growing up I had a "best cousin" on my mom's side of the family. We had so much fun together. Now we have babies about a month apart. While I was in Washington last weekend for my Grandma's funeral, they met each other and became best cousins!

This is Oakley, our first born. He is Jace's. I barely claim him. It's not that he's not like-able... it's just that I have a baby that takes most of my attention. Oakley definitely has taken the back seat.
