Yes, there is a thumb in the way, but I still like it. She is always grabbing at my camera. This was taken on the plane ride home. She did SUCH a good job on the plane there and back. I couldn't believe it. We stuffed her with oreos to keep her quiet... as you can see by the messy face.

Me and my sisters being silly. It was late at night and Ellie was trying to go to sleep in the hotel room, so we sat in the bathroom to talk.

Growing up I had a "best cousin" on my mom's side of the family. We had so much fun together. Now we have babies about a month apart. While I was in Washington last weekend for my Grandma's funeral, they met each other and became best cousins!

This is Oakley, our first born. He is Jace's. I barely claim him. It's not that he's not like-able... it's just that I have a baby that takes most of my attention. Oakley definitely has taken the back seat.

I am slowly getting caught up on posting my pictures. On this day I realized that I hadn't put up any recent pictures... I also wasn't feeling inspired. I've had a lot of blah days about taking a picture so I snapped this and called it good. I think I'm getting back into it though.

Today I found Ellie in the bathroom, swishing her hand back and forth in the toilet. Haha. It cracks me up just thinking about it. I was totally grossed out, but it will be a funny memory for me.

I am in love with our evenings lately! They are gorgeous. I've heard of a photography rule that says, never shoot into the sun. What?! That doesn't make sense to me. I love sun shots.

This will be a picture that I cherish for the rest of my life! It just totally captures Ellie. I'm in love with her eye lashes. Today felt like SUMMER! I loved it. We blew up the froggy pool and splashed.

I realize that I can only take so many pictures of Jace, Ellie, and plants before you all get bored and stop looking at my blog. Not that you are really in love with my curtains, but at least it's something new, right? I'm trying to look outside the box and get more creative.

Ellie and I went for a ride on the farm today with Jace. I love taking pictures of the farm so I always jump at the chance to go with him when he checks water. I have no idea what this plant is, probably a weed, but it was all over the canal and I thought it looked cool.

What's the one thing Ellie would get this close to get? Fruit snacks. She hates cuddling, and refuses to give kisses on the mouth... but she loves fruit snacks like nobody's business. Today Jace would hold a fruit snack in his teeth and she would dive right in to get it from him. I wish I would've gotten a better picture of it. It was adorable. I love them.

Disclaimer: Sometimes I feel very vulnerable posting pictures I take - especially because I know that there are people who actually look at this blog (which, I'll be honest, really surprises me!). Because it's a picture blog, I don't want anyone to assume that I think I take good pictures. I don't like a lot of them, however, I am an ammature and sometimes I just don't know how to fix my mistakes. Like this picture below... I took it in my bathroom at night. Taking pictures without natural light is difficult. I could have probably changed a setting or two on my camera and it wouldn't have been so grainy and yellow, but I didn't think of it until I uploaded my pictures, looked at it and thought, "gross". My point is, I don't want to feel pressure to make every picture pretty. I don't even want to have to edit a picture if I don't feel like it (like the un-edited picture below). I would rather just know that people who are looking at this blog aren't expecting anything and are not judging me for my lack of photog knowledge. Are you ok with that? Thanks, 'preciate it.

So about the picture... I tried to just take a simple self portrait. Easy, right? NO! I am not photogenic! And I know this sounds dumb, but I feel like I used to be photogenic. Am I aloud to say that? It sounds like I'm full of myself. I am SO not. (I just re-read that and it's probably the stupidest thing I've ever written, but I'm leaving it.) Anyway, after about 20 smiley pics, not one of which I liked, I decided that fishy faces are more flattering and I'd go with that. But the whole reason I was taking a picture of myself is because I got a new hair cut today. What do you think?

Ellie's Grandma B bought a baby swing for the back yard and it was a hit! She was all smiles and laughs until her dad went a little too high.

I took Ellie to the duck ponds today. These are some crazy ducks! Sometimes they go crazy for bread and get too close for comfort. Other days, like today, they are totally un-interested. Bread snobs!

I'm finally up to date! Look below for pictures from the craziest week of my life.
It's becoming clothes line weather. Yay!

You would think I'd get excited about taking pictures on Sunday because it's the only day (besides our Friday night date) that we really dress up. This is all I got. Just minutes after this was taken Ellie grabbed a bottle of sparkling cider out of the cupboard and shattered it on the floor. It's time to baby proof.

Saturday we were back in Phoenix. My sisters were dipping Ellie's feet in the pool. She liked her feet in, but when she was dipped up to her waste she got pretty mad. The water was too cold. I can't wait for it to warm up so we can swim every day!

It was nice to be home all day Friday. I love being home. Ellie tried green beans that day for the first time and loved them!

This was taken with my phone on my drive home Thursday. It was the 2nd out of 3 trips I made to Phoenix and back last week. Needless to say, I'm sick of being in the car!

This is pretty much all we did for five days... sit in a waiting room taking turns seeing my mom. From left to right: My sister Merry, my sister Joy, and our family friend Jessie.

I obviously didn't take this picture, but it was about the only one I had for the day. My mom was still sedated at this point and I thought she needed a pedicure. We did hot pink, which is not a color she normaly wears. Since she had no say I thought I'd do my favorite color.

Courtesy of my phone.
This was taken in the waiting room of the ER Monday night. My dad looked tired, worried, and very hairy from not shaving for over a week while my parents were on vacation in Mexico. Have you read this? It will explain why I dropped the ball on taking planned picture this week.

I love and hate how there is no focus in this picture. The focus is almost on the lens flare, which I said before I'd been trying to figure out. It's a step in the right direction because it's not fake this time! Haha. Can you see the tractor in the background?
